(a) Since you're seeing this problem, you've already been taught that
  (TU)² = (TS)×(TR)

(b) (TU)² = (4 in)×(9 in) = 36 in² . . . . . . substitute the given values in the above
.. (TU) = √(36 in²) = 6 in . . . . . . . . . . . . take the square root
